About the Programme

BSc. Medical Laboratory Technology also known as a clinical laboratory science is a paramedical program that offers practical and theoretical knowledge about the diagnosis treatment, and prevention of various kinds of diseases and health problems with the help of clinical laboratory tests. Medical Laboratory professionals play an important role in the diagnosis of disease and providing the best care and treatment available for it.

During the program, students learn to detect and diagnose the diseases and learn about the different treatments available for them. They also acquire knowledge about the collection and sampling of important data, testing, documentation, and reporting for the same. These tests help doctors to detect, diagnose and treat diseases. A Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) also referred to as a medical technologist, a clinical scientist, or clinical laboratory technologist does these tests by analyzing body fluids, tissues, blood typing, microorganism screening, chemical analyses, cell counts of the human body, etc. They play an important role in collecting the information needed, sampling, testing, reporting, and documentation these investigations. As they are, primarily responsible for the implementation of tests to diagnose the disease and to monitor the progress of their treatment. While these medical technologies hold the health sector plays an important role, they are usually in clinical laboratory work behind the scenes. Eligibility Criteria

Pass in +2 Science with Physics Chemistry, Biology and/or Mathematics from a recognized Board of the country with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST and 45% for Physically Challenged candidates
