About the Programme

Students from the science stream can pursue, B. Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (BOTT), if they wish to join the healthcare industry. This course will train and mold students in the functioning and operations of surgical and treatment equipment used by doctors, and specialist in lab and hospital alike. Thus KRIMS has defined the curriculum intensively on understanding the importance, functioning, uses, and application of various medical equipment and assist surgeons through a medical procedures.

As a professional in Operation Theater Technology, the candidates will be trained qualitatively, has to be motivated and prepared to work at any hospital to discharge the highest quality of professional services. He/she forms an intrinsic part of any hospital with responsibility for facilitating surgical procedures both emergency and planned by preparing and maintaining in advance the Operation Theater. He/she also looks after all the work and management of the operation theater with good knowledge on anesthesia techniques for different types of patients and different types of surgical procedures to assist Anesthetist and Surgery teams during pre-operative, per-operative, and postoperative periods in the recovery room and wards.

Eligibility Criteria

Pass in +2 Science with Physics Chemistry, Biology and/or Mathematics from a recognized Board of the country with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST and 45% for Physically Challenged candidates
